Art Fair Daegu (ARTFAIR DAEGU) was first held in Daegu, the first city to host an art festival in South Korea, to share the trends of contemporary art and revitalize the art market. With the slogan "I'm going to art shopping," the event aimed to highlight the diverse values of contemporary art and foster communication and exchange among artists, galleries, collectors, and visitors, thereby serving as an art fair where visitors can discover the value of contemporary art and observe trends in the art market. The inaugural special exhibition featured works by local artist Lee Kyu-kyung, who garnered significant attention after selling out at the Singapore Art Fair. This exhibition showcased the potential of the contemporary art market and the global competitiveness of local artists. It also aimed to share the achievements of international art fairs with local audiences and serve as a platform to support the international advancement of local artists.
